Act (1991:639) on pre-screening of biological control agents.

The Act provides general principles for the inspection and approval of micro-organisms, nematodes, viruses and insects used to prevent or combat damage by micro-organisms and viruses. It also sets out general principles for determining the environmental impact of these pesticides. The Government must prepare the enforcement regulations relating, in particular, to the approval of micro-organisms, viruses and insects by the relevant authorities.
