Abstract
This Act makes amendments to article 24 of Act 806 with regard to the taking of tests and samples on animals for purposes of control and monitoring of animal diseases, the presence of residues in animals and animal products and other reasons of protection of animal or public health. Specifically to the administrative appeal decisions that have been issued by a body such as referred to in article 9 or by an official veterinarian in adherence to Act (2009:1254) on veterinarians. The prosecutor of the administrative court shall be the authority implementing control of the contested decision issued by an organization by authorized veterinarians.
The Act grants ample regulation-making powers in this field to the Government or an authority to be indicated by the Government. The regulation-making powers cover an extensive range of matters such as measures to fight animal diseases, registration of treatment of animals with drugs, hygiene in the handling of animals, control of products deriving from animals, marking and registration of animals, etc.
