Abstract
The present Decree implements the Plant Protection Act (2022:725). It contains the following Chapters: 1. Introductory provisions; 2. Competent authorities in questions concerning prohibitions and plant pest measures; 3. Other competent authorities; 4. Registration and notifications; 5. Official controls and other official duties; 6. Violation reporting system; 7. Charges; 8. Compensation in case of eradication or containment of quarantine pests; 9. Other provisions. The Decree authorizes the competent authorities to issue regulations concerning the specified plant protection matters. The Swedish Agricultural Agency shall be the competent authority to carry out official controls. The Swedish Forestry Agency shall be the competent authority to exercise official controls of the plants mentioned in Section 3 of Ch. 2.
