Abstract
This Decree grants extensive powers and assigns duties to the State Agricultural Agency for purposes of preventing the spreading of pests and diseases affecting plants and trees in Sweden. The Government shall indicate legislation of the European Communities that shall complete provisions of the Plant Protection Act of 1972. The State Agricultural Agency shall have regulation-making powers for purposes of preventing the spreading of pests and diseases in the field of plant production, the importation of plants and other material and exportation of plants. The State Agricultural Agency may require the collaboration of county councils.
