Notification (2019: 67) of the EU Regulations supplementing the Animal Welfare Act (2018: 1192).

This Notification, made under section 5 of the Animal Welfare Act of 2018, lists Regulations made by the European Parliament and of the Council that are declared by the Government to complete the provisions of the Animal Welfare Act and to fall within the application sphere of the Act. These are notably Regulation (EC) No 882/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2004 on official controls performed to ensure the verification of compliance with feed and food law, animal health and animal welfare rules, Council Regulation (EC) No 1/2005 of 22 December 2004 on the protection of animals during transport and related operations and amending Directives 64/432/EEC and 93/119/EC and Regulation (EC) No 1255/9, and Council Regulation (EC) No. 1099/2009 on the protection of animals at the time of killing.
