Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Act (Chapter 170a).

The Act is divided in the followong Parts:I, Preliminary; II, Establishment, Incorporation and Constitution of Authority; III, Functions, Duties and Powers of Authority; IV, Provisions Relating To Staff; V, Financial Provisions; VI, Transfer of Assets, Liabilities and Employees; VII, Employment of Seamen; VIII, Regulation of Port; IX, Removal of Vessel and Aircraft Sunk and Other Obstruction; X, Pilotage; XI, Regulation and Control of Seaward Activities; XII, Licensing of Marine and Port Services and Facilities; XIII, Control of Relevant Public Licensees; XIV, Liability of Authority; XV, Offences; XVI,Miscellaneous Provisions;Three Schedules.
The Legislation provides for the inatitution of the competent Authority presiding on the maritime domain of the State of Singapore, dealing with navigation, port limit definitions, licenses to be issued to Port users, all the related activities to shipping, docking, unload in the Ports of Sinagpore.
