Decree on compensation of salary and reimbursement of expenses during the performance of tasks of protection, rescue and assistance.

This Decree governs the compensation for wages or lost earnings, conditions for payment and reimbursement of costs to members of the Civil Protection (or CP) for the time of absence from work while performing protection, rescue and assistance tasks in the Republic of Slovenia and abroad, based on calls the competent authority. Citizens who voluntarily and non-professionally perform the tasks of protection, rescue and assistance in the operational formations of non-governmental organizations have the right to compensation for wages or lost earnings and reimbursement of costs under this Decree. This text also regulates the procedure and conditions for reimbursement of loss of income to the employer due to the participation of a member of the CP or a citizen from the previous paragraph, as well as the reimbursement of salary compensation for the period of temporary incapacity for work paid to a member of the CP or a citizen due to an injury or illness that suffered during the performance of duties, protection, rescue and assistance.
