Decree on the implementation of protection, rescue and assistance using aircraft.

This Decree here determines the necessary technical and administrative conditions, procedures and methods of carrying out protection, rescue and assistance as well as search and research by using aircrafts in the event of natural and other disasters, in the provision of humanitarian aid and the provision of emergency transport in healthcare. According to this text, aircraft are state (military, police, customs) and civilian aircraft and helicopters, which are equipped to perform the tasks from the previous paragraph, or their use for these tasks does not contradict the manufacturers' instructions. Military aircraft may not carry loaded weapons when performing protection, rescue and assistance tasks. The tasks of protection, rescue and assistance in the event of natural and other disasters with the use of aircraft can also be performed by the aircraft of other countries and their rescue services in accordance with the law and international agreements. The authority requesting assistance from another country must also inform the Ministry of the Interior without delay about the involvement of aircraft from other countries in the performance of protection, rescue and assistance tasks.
