Abstract
This Regulation was established by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food in agreement with the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology and the Minister of the Environment and Spatial Planning. This Regulation lays down conditions of experiments on animals, organization in the field of breeding and supplying of experimental animals, species of experimental animals, conditions of obtaining licenses to conduct trials and obligations of organizations dealing with such activities. For the purposes of these provisions, experiment means any interference in the live of animal for experimental or other scientific purposes which may cause suffering, distress, lasting harm or death and also includes other actions that cause or may cause birth of an animal in those circumstances. The experiment begins when the animal is first prepared for the use in experiment, and ends when further observation is no longer necessary. This Regulation is composed of the following Sections: General provisions (Sec. 1); Organization in the field of breeding and supplying of experimental animals (Sec. 2); Experiments on animals (Sec. 3); Animal care and accommodation (Sec. 4); Records (Sec. 5); Transitional and final provisions (Sec. 6).
