Abstract
This Regulation of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, which is composed of 22 articles and three Annexes, sets out the criteria for identification of ecologically acceptable flow and method of monitoring and reporting on ecologically acceptable flow. This Regulation applies to specific use of surface water which can cause reduction of water flow, lowering water levels and deterioration of water, and also to specific use of surface water from springs. Ecologically acceptable flow is determined by hydrological features of the determination of ecologically acceptable flow, characteristics of the abstraction of water, hydrological, hydro morphological and biological characteristics of the river and the data protection regime, which may affect the intended special use of surface water. This Regulation is composed of the following Sections: General provisions (Sec. 1); Criteria for the identification of ecologically acceptable flow (Sec. 2); Method of monitoring and reporting on ecologically acceptable flow (Sec. 3); Control (Sec. 4); Penalty provisions (Sec. 5); Transitional and final provisions (Sec. 6).
