Regulation on exercises in the field of protection against natural and other disasters.

This Regulation defines the types and objectives of exercises, planning, preparation, implementation and evaluation of exercises in the field of protection against natural and other disasters. This text also apply mutatis mutandis to exercises that are organized as an integral part of educational programs or training programs in the Education Center for Protection and Rescue of the Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Protection and Rescue or in the fire school. Depending on the type and number of trainees, the exercises are small-scale exercises, comprehensive readiness check exercises, international exercises and defensive defence exercises. The exercises verify the adequacy of the concepts of protection, rescue and assistance in relation to the type and extent of the consequences of natural and other disasters, the adequacy of the solutions in the adopted protection and rescue plans, the operation of the observation, notification and alarm system, the training, equipment and readiness of the forces for protection, rescue and assistance, qualification and readiness of holders of managerial, administrative, executive and other powers, professional, voluntary and duty rescuers and other persons who participate in protection, rescue and assistance on a professional, voluntary, duty or other basis. With the exercises, coordination and coordination of the actions of management bodies, services, units and other operational formations of forces for protection, rescue and assistance in the event of natural and other disasters is trained and tested. The exercises also test the competence and readiness of the forces for protection, rescue and assistance, as well as the management bodies in accepting and offering international aid in the event of major disasters in the Republic of Slovenia or in other countries, as well as for participation in rescue operations within the framework of the European Union or international organizations.
