Abstract
This Regulation stipulates the following: health requirements for persons who, when working in the production and trade of foodstuffs, including drinking water, constantly or occasionally come into contact with foodstuffs; duties of those persons; scope, method and conditions for conducting checks on persons and duties of food business operators. Contact with food in the sense of this text also means contact with work equipment, work surfaces, objects or other materials that come into direct contact with food. In order to prevent the occurrence and spread of infectious diseases that can be transmitted through food, persons who are carriers of infectious disease agents may not work in the production and distribution of food, as a result of which they could directly or indirectly endanger the health of consumers, unless this can be prevented by the hygienic measures introduced.
