Abstract
This Regulation determines the national competent authorities and related penalty provisions as regards the implementation of following European Union documents concerning food pollutants: Council Regulation (EEC) No. 315/93 laying down Community procedures for contaminants in food; and Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1881/2006 setting maximum levels for certain contaminants in foodstuffs, including some amending texts, see article 1 of this Regulation for further details.
The Slovenian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food shall be responsible for the implementation of these rules. The inspectorate of the Republic of Slovenia for Agriculture, Forestry and Food shall exercise official control over the implementation, except for the part related to food of animal origin, where official control shall be exercised by the Veterinary Administration of the Republic of Slovenia. The Health Inspectorate of the Republic of Slovenia shall exercise official control over the implementation of this Regulation in the part relating to food supplements, foods for particular nutritional or health purposes and food or food in the hospitality industry, institutional food establishments and establishments for food at work. Article 4 sets out the above mentioned national penalty provisions.
