Abstract
This Regulation of the Minister of the Environment and the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food, which is composed of 13 articles, establishes provisions concerning living conditions and care which is deemed appropriate to keep wild animals species in captivity, regardless of the purpose of keeping them. This Regulation also specifies animal species acquisition which is based on the Nature Conservation Act, and the method of notification of the ministry responsible for the environmental protection. This Regulation does not apply to care of wild species during transportation, breeding, quarantine or when the living conditions and care is governed by other rules. These provisions apply to indigenous and exotic species of animals, including pet animals of wild species that are bred or kept for company, security or human assistance. This Act establishes that all legal or natural persons keeping animals in captivity must ensure adequate living conditions and proper care to these animals.
