Abstract
This Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food lays down rules governing the production with a view to marketing, and the marketing of seed potatoes and does not apply to seed potatoes intended for export to third countries. Seed potatoes may be marketed only if they have been officially certified as the category of basic seed or certified seed and meet the minimum requirements set out in Annexes 1 and 2. Officially certified seed potatoes of basic seed and certified seed categories may be marketed only in sealed packs (bags, boxes or containers) which must be sealed and marked in accordance with rules specified in art. 8. Packages must be new, boxes or containers must be clean. This Regulation is composed of 32 articles divided into the following Sections: General provisions (Sec. 1); Requirements for marketing of seed potatoes (Sec. 2); Certification of seed potatoes (Sec. 3); Control of suppliers (Sec. 4); Registration of imported seed potatoes (Sec. 5); Transitional and final provisions (Sec. 6).
