Abstract
The objective of this Regulation of the Minister of the Environment and Spatial Planning, which is composed of 13 articles, is to protect human health and the environment when carrying out the deliberate release into the environment of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) for any other purposes than placing on the market. This Regulation sets out the elements and scope of risk assessment for the deliberate release of GMOs into the environment. The subject of this risk assessment is to specify the findings, analysis and evaluation of all potential impacts of the proposed deliberate release of GMOs on the environment or human health, and to determine the level of risk and necessary control and risk management, in accordance with prescribed criteria. The assessment should be made on scientific foundation and basis of all available scientific and technical information.
