Decree on collection, transportation and disposal of animal by-products and the use of animal by-products for special feeding purposes.

This Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, which is composed of 14 articles and three Annexes, lays down details on: (a) removal of dead pets and equine animals; (b) removal by burning or burial on site of animal by-products to prevent the spread of risks to public and animal health in areas where access is practically impossible or would require the use of disproportionate means; (c) removal by burning or burial on site of by-products to prevent the spread of risks to public and animal health in areas affected by natural disasters; (d) removal to landfill in specified cases; (e) elimination of animal by-products other by burning or burial on site in case of a notifiable disease if transport to the nearest facility for processing or disposal of animal by-products would increase the danger of propagation of health risk; (f) removing apiculture by-products of burning or burial on site, under conditions which prevent the transmission of risks to public and animal health; (g) the use of animal by-products for special feeding purposes for zoo animals, circus animals, reptiles and birds, fur animals, wild animals, dogs and cats in shelters and worms; (h) the use of animal by-products for feeding of animals; (i) commercial documents on animal by-products.
