Abstract
This Decree of the Ministry of Environment, which is composed of five articles and two Annexes, lays down details of risk management related to catchment areas for water abstraction points intended for human consumption. Risk analysis, which identifies the probability of occurrence and the severity of undesirable consequences of dangerous events, includes identification of hazards and dangerous events in the catchment area and assignment of probability of occurrence and severity of undesirable consequences to identified dangerous events. By evaluating risks, the level of risks is determined and measures are developed to mitigate or eliminate unacceptable risks. The level is expressed using the probability of its occurrence and the severity of possible consequences. The determination of the level of risk and the priority of the risk are given in Annex 1.
