Decree which provides details on the production and marketing of forest reproductive material.

This Government Ordinance, which is composed of 23 articles and 25 Annexes, concerns production and marketing of forest reproductive material and lays down details on: (a) phenotypic classification of forests and phenotypic classification of seed sources; (b) recognition of sources of forest reproductive material; (c) recognized forests, tree selection, seed orchards, clones and clonal mixtures of varieties and their management; (d) protection of forest genetic resources; (e) genetic bases; (f) seed crops; (g) bank of forest seed; (h) labeling of recognized sources, genetic base and seed crops; (i) management of the National register of resources and issuing a list of resources of the National forest reproductive material; (j) testing resources; (k) collection and labeling of forest reproductive material; (l) seed areas and the transfer of forest reproductive material; (m) requirements for quality and classification of forest reproductive material; (n) growing of planting material; (o) records on the production and marketing of forest reproductive material; (p) registration of nurseries and operating equipment; (q) registration of forest reproductive material used in artificial forest regeneration and afforestation; (r) verification of professional competence in the work of forest reproductive material; (s) issuing a certificate of proficiency in the activities of forest reproductive material.
