Abstract
This Governmental Ordinance amends eight points of the Ordinance on animal health requirements for transport, trade with other European Community member states and import from third countries of animals, semen, ova and embryos. In particular, the present Ordinance amends requirements for trade in dogs, cats and ferrets with other European Community member states (art. 10 of the amended Ordinance). The replaced Annex 2 provides health certificates for trade in ungulates, birds vaccinated against avian influenza, lagomorphs, dogs, cats and ferrets (Part 1), bees and bumble bees (Part 2), animals, semen, ova and embryos from approved bodies, institutes or centers (Part 3). The replaced Annex 3 specifies requirements relating to semen, ova and embryos: conditions applicable to collection centers (Part 1), requirements for donor animals (Part 2), conditions for the collection, processing, preservation, storage and transport of semen (Part 3), and requirements relating to donor females (Part 4).
