Abstract
The Government Ordinance, which is composed of 13 articles and five Annexes, lays down requirements for the marketing of seed potatoes. It establishes: (a) seed of potato variety which is placed on the market; (b) requirements for the quality and characteristics of seed potatoes; (c) requirements for the production of seed potatoes; (d) conditions for the marketing of seed potatoes on the market; (e) conditions for the import of seed potatoes; (f) details on the packaging of seed potatoes, marking and sealing; (g) details on the inspection and recognition of seed potatoes. The present regulation does not apply to seed potatoes, intended for export to countries that are not members of the European Union.
