Abstract
This Directive lays down the minimum conditions to be met by pre-basic seed potatoes. In particular it stipulates that Member States must ensure that pre-basic seed potatoes: (a) derive from mother plants which are free from the specified harmful organisms; (b) are free from symptoms of blackleg; (c) the number of growing plants not breeding true to the variety and the number of plants of a different variety together, shall not exceed the prescribed percentage.
