Decision on the Fee for Timber, Wood Products and Forest By-products, 2013

This Ministerial Decision, implementing articles 32, 38, 40, 41 and 42 of the Forestry Act, 1992, provides for establishing the rate and the method of collection of the levy for harvested timber, wood products, and forest by-products harvested on state land. The Decision concerns: the rate for the levy on roundwood, except for letterwood harvested in the concession area, harvested in the area indicated in the permit for incidental timber harvesting, harvested on leasehold and ground lease land other than for personal use, commercially exploitable and harvested in community forest and timber harvesting permit sites; the rate of the levy for wood products; the levy rate for forest by-products to be exported. The Decision specifies the method of timber measurement and volume determination of the harvested round timber, and the method for measurement of forest by-products. The Decision also details the Authority to whom the fees are to be paid.
