Galibi Nature Conservation Decree.

This Decree, implementing articles 1 and 2 of the Nature Conservation Ordinance 1954 (G.B. 1954, no. 26), designates as a national reserve, for the protection and preservation of natural resources of Suriname, an area situated on the Atlantic Ocean near the mouth of the Marowijne River, whose boundaries are detailed. The Decree provides for respecting property rights existing in the land declared as national reserve, and does not affect the possibility of having exploration activities for utilising natural resources carried out in the nature reserve.
