Abstract
This Decree, implementing provisions of articles 1 and 2 of the Nature Reserve Ordinance 1954, amends the previous Decrees of 1966 and 1969, by changing boundaries of natural protected areas, including national parks and reserves, and indicating their geographical limits. The Decree also increases the protection of Suriname’s natural heritage, while respecting existing property rights of local populations, living in villages of forests.
