Abstract
This Law imposes a levy on exportation of raw processed and unprocessed wood. It revises existing provisions so as to bring them in line with the Revised Treaty of Chaguaramas Establishing the Caribbean Community Including the CARICOM Single Market and Economy. This Law therefore offers the possibility that export to another CARICOM Member State be exempted for from the paying export duties. The exporter who wishes to use this facility will must meet certain conditions guaranteeing that the wood is intended for the specific CARICOM Member State and not be re-exported to a country outside the CARICOM.
