Abstract
This Law is composed of 14 chapters divided in 76 articles. It defines the basic legislation forestry. Forests are considered a State property and shall be managed according to the principles of a sustainable and rational use and biodiversity conservation. The Law rules on forest policy, provides a classification of forest according to protection requirements, production and forest uses. Moreover, it institutes a national Forestry plan and a special fund. Finally, it regulates control measures and defines applicable penalties.
