Abstract
This Act establishes the Dairy Board as a body corporate with full legal personality and charges it with the functions of organizing the efficient production of dairy products, ensuring that the products are of a standard suitable for public health, advise producers as to the production and marketing of their dairy products, among other functions. The Board is empowered to charge dairies to be registered and prescribe the manner of registration, regulate the manner of branding or marking of dairy products, incidental applications, registrations, certificate of inspections, analysis or other documents for the purpose of the Act etc. The Act makes extensive provisions with respect of how the Minister may, in consultation with the Board, fix prices for the sale of dairy products within the Country.
