Abstract
These Regulations are made by the Minister of Agriculture pursuant to Section 32 of the Dairy Act of 1968. They provides for the manner in which the Dairy Board shall issue permits and licenses to Dairy Industry Stakeholders for the safe, efficient and stable production, import, export, marketing and distribution of dairy products. The Regulations provide for the powers of Inspectors who are mostly charged with ensuring the observance of the Regulations. The Regulations also provide for the assessment of animal health risk and the sanitization of work stations and equipments involved in dairy production. Consumer protection is an essential aspect of the Regulations, and the Codex Alimentarius Dairy and Dairy Related Standards, contained in the Schedule.
