Abstract
These Rules of the Director-General of the Department of Fisheries, made under Section 78 (1) and (7) of the Royal Fisheries Ordinance concern aquaculture of specified crustacean. Section 78. An aquaculture undertaking an aquaculture enterprise under control in aquaculture zones pursuant to section 77 shall comply with specified requirements: (1) an aquaculture entrepreneur shall have to notify the aquaculture undertaking to the competent (local) authority as per the prescribed form and procedure (see Schedule). Cultivation shall take place with the aquaculture zones prescribed by the provincial Fisheries Commission. The following documents must be attached; (1) in the case of a natural person, a copy of ID card and residence; (2) In the case of a juristic person, a copy of the certificate of incorporation and a copy of the identification card and a copy of residence of managing director. The competent official shall issue a certificate of notification in the prescribed form. Operators of controlled aquaculture must comply with requirements to protect the environment as follows regarding the construction of the pond, drainage of pond water and prevention of release of red shrimp or crayfish shrimp into the environment or public watercourse.
