Abstract
According to Clause 3 of the notification of the Ministry of Public Health (No. 193) B.E. 2543 (2000), Re: Production Processes, Production Equipment, and Foods Storages; Amendment of the notification of the Ministry of Public Health (No. 239) B.E. 2544 (2001), importers of prescribed food for sale are required to hold certificates of production processes, production equipment, and foods storages with criteria not inferior to criteria as prescribed the attachment of those Notifications. This Announcement aims to clearly set the guidelines for the importers of prescribed food to follow.
The certificates shall define the criteria to follow to the notification of the Ministry of Public Health (No. 193) B.E. 2543 (2000) or equivalent details to the mentioned notification of the Ministry of Public Health, or one of the following food qualities assurance system: (1) General Principles of Food Hygiene as prescribed by International Food Standard FAO/WHO; Codex. (2) Hazard Analysis and Critical Point Control System. (3) ISO: Quality Management System. (4) Other principles or systems which are equivalent to stipulation in (1) - (3).
