Abstract
The present Act lays down provisions relating to field dykes and ditches. For the purpose of the present Act «field dyke» means a dyke made of earth or permanent material on the land in order to store or block water for cultivation; “ditch” means a channel having description as prescribed by the Director-General in order to drain water into and drain water off the land. Section 5 establishes that the field dyke must be secured and able to store water not lower and not higher as indicated in this section. A Royal Decree shall indicate to which areas the obligation applies. Owners of field dykes shall keep the mentioned works in good condition and shall ensure the proper control of water (sect. 14). The text consists of 28 sections.
