Abstract
This Ministerial Regulation is formulated in accordance with the Nuclear Energy for Peace Act, B.E. 2559, as amended by the Nuclear Energy for Peace Act (No. 2) B.E. 2562.
The Ministerial Regulation prescribes comprehensive safety, construction, and operational requirements for nuclear facilities and radioactive waste management sites. It classifies buildings into five types based on radiation risk and mandates strict design, construction, and safety protocols, including containment systems, fire protection, ventilation, radioactive waste drainage, and radiation shielding. The Regulation emphasizes graded safety approaches, seismic resistance, and environmental protection. It mandates safety analyses, and ensures environmental protection through air and water release controls.
