Notification of Department of Agriculture Re : Criteria, procedures and conditions for the importation or bringing in transit of prohibited, restricted and unprohibited articles B.E. 2551.

This Notification is formulated in accordance with the Plant Quarantine Act (No. 3) B.E. 2551, aiming to provide guidelines for the importation of prohibited, restricted and non-prohibited articles.
Imports of prohibited articles for experiment and research must be accompanied by an import permit and phytosanitary certificate or certificate on plant pests or non-plant carriers. The importation of genetically modified organism (GMO) plant must comply with specifications, methods, and conditions as determined by the Director General. Commercial importation of prohibited articles are subject to an import permit and an approved pest risk analysis (PRA) prior to importation.
