Notification of the Ministry of Public Health (No. 210) B.E. 2543 (2000) Re: Semi-processed Foods.

Semi-processed Foods in sealed container is prescribed to have qualities or standards (Clause 2). Food may be classified into 4 types: (1) Noodle; (2) Kao Tom (Boiled rice) and Joke (Porridge rice); (3) Broth and concentrated soup in cube, powdered or dried form; (4) Curries and curry pastes. Clause 5-9 regards quality requirements to be satisfied by semi-processed foods. The Notification further provides for requirements for semi-processed food production processes, production equipments, storages, labeling and packing, food additives, etc.
