Abstract
The purpose of this Notification is to provide for the requirements and rules for the use of Stevioside, intense sweetener, which is a product extracted from Stevia, to be used as ingredient in foods for weight control.
Stevioside which is extracted from Stevia, Stevia Rebuadiana Bertoni, is prescribed to be specific controlled foods. Foods containing Stevioside shall be used for weight control according to the notification of the Ministry of Public Health No. 121 B.E. 2532 (1989), Re: Weight-control Foods, dated 23rd May B.E. 2532 (1989). The Notification further provides for the requirements for the quality and labelling of Stevioside.
