Notification of the Ministry of Public Health (No. 92) B.E.2528 (1985) regarding Prescription of Quality or Standard for Food Containers, Use of Food Containers and Prohibition of Use of Things as Food Containers.

Clause 4-6 provides of this Notification provide for the quality requirements for a container used for packing food, including: it must not give out any heavy metal or other substance to contaminate the food in a volume likely to be harmful to health. Use of a container which previously been used to packing a fertilizer, poisonous substance or substance likely to be harmful to health as a food container is prohibited (Clause 7).
