Abstract
The purpose of this Notification is to have appropriate measures to protect consumer’s health.
Food contaminated with radionuclide is prescribed food to have Standards (Clause 2). The detection levels of radionuclide in food contaminated with radionuclide shall not exceed the limits as prescribed in Clause 3. Importers of the foods contaminated with radionuclide shall provide documents indicating the levels of radionuclide and the location of food production every shipment at the import check point, issued by the government competent authority (CA) of the country origin or other agencies accepted by the CA of the country origin, or the certificate of analysis from the government laboratory or designated laboratory by the government or accredited laboratory which conforms to the international standards.
