Abstract
These Standards are formulated in accordance with the Food Act B.E. 2522.
Contaminations of food shall comply with the following requirement: (1) Shall not found in amount exceed the maximum levels specified in Annex 1 of this Notification. (2) other than (1) shall not fond in an amount exceed the maximum levels specified in Codex General Standard for Contaminants and Toxins in Food and Feed; CODEX STAN 193-1995 (updated version). (3) other than (1) and (2) shall not exceed the acceptable levels calculating based on the criteria for the establishment of maximum levels in food and feed provided by Codex Alimentarius Commission, which producer or importer of such contaminated food shall responsible to support the evidence to prove that the amount of contaminants are acceptable. These Standards are appliable to all foods. They includes annex 1 table of heavy metal limits, table 2 mycotoxin limits, table 3 others, table 4 radinuclides, and annex 2 analytical methods.
