Abstract
This Act is enacted to make proviisons for administration and control of the practice of pharmaceutical profession.
"Pharmaceutical profession” mentioned in the Act means profession concerning drug preparation, drug production, drug invention, drug selection, drug analysis, quality control and quality guarantee of drug, compounding and prescribing drug of medical treatment profession or pharmaceutical practitioner or dentistry practitioner or animal treatment practitioner including compounding drugs and sale of drugs under the law on drug.
The Pharmacy Council shall be established, and the powers and duties of the Pharmacy Council include: (1) to register and issue a license to an application for pharmaceutical practitioner; (2) to accredit a degree, certification in pharmaceutical science or diploma in pharmaceutical profession of any institution for the benefit of membership application; (3) to accredit other curriculum for training a specialist in different fields of pharmaceutical profession of a training institution which trains specialist of pharmaceutical profession; etc. There shall be a Pharmacy Council Board with the powers and duties such as managing and executing operations of the Pharmacy Council, issuing rules of the Pharmacy Council. No one shall perform pharmaceutical profession or any practice which would make others understand that he or she has the right to be a pharmaceutical practitioner without being registered and holding a license except in one of the circumstances listed in Section 28.
