Decree-Law No. 10/2022 approving measures to reinforce the distribution of basic food baskets to the most needy Timorese families and to support local economic operators and creating a special provisioning regime for this purpose, within the scope of the Economic Recovery Plan.

This Decree-Law, consisting of 24 articles divided into four Chapters, aims approves measures to reinforce the distribution of basic food baskets to the most needy Timorese families and to support local economic operators and creates a special provisioning regime for this purpose, within the scope of the Economic Recovery Plan. In particular, it aims, namely to: a) Continue to stimulate local economic dynamics through the circulation of financial resources necessary to increase national production, with a view to reducing the impacts of the economic crisis resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, within the scope of the implementation of the Economic Recovery Plan; b) Guarantee farmers, agricultural producers in general and local traders conditions for obtaining and improving their income; c) Encourage the local supply and marketing of national agricultural products; d) Support families in meeting basic needs, also contributing to fight hunger and the greater vulnerabilities existing in some of the poorest and most isolated regions of the country; e) Contribute to the improvement of the food and nutritional diet of Timorese families affected by reduced income or increased burdens.
