Decree-Law No. 13/2011 establishing the structure of the Ministry of Tourism, Trade and Industry (MTCI).

This Decree-Law, consisting of 3 Chapters, establishes the structure of the Ministry of Tourism, Trade and Industry (MTCI). It specifies composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned institution, entitled to design, conceive, regulate, implement, coordinate and assess the policies defined and approved by the Council of Ministers in areas related to tourism, trade and industry. This institution also aims at contributing for the promotion of touristic, commercial and industrial activities; at analyzing commercial activity and proposing measures and public policies related to the development of local entrepreneurship; supporting and regulating the activities of economic agents; giving advice on environmental impact assessment; assessing and licensing projects of touristic, commercial and industrial infrastructures, etc.
