Abstract
The present Law determines organizational and legal basis of veterinary establishes common veterinary and sanitary requirements and has as its purpose protection of animal health and protection of humans against disease common to human beings and animals. The Law consists of V Sections composed of 22 articles. Veterinary is the activity of legal land natural persons aimed at the prevention of animal disease and its cure, putting on the market high quality and safe animal products and protection of the population against disease common to human beings and animals (art. 1). The main tasks of veterinary service are: 1) prevention and liquidation of infectious and mass non-infectious animal disease; 2) ensuring quality and safety of animal products; 3) protection of the population against disease common to human beings and animals; 4) cure of sick animals; 5) protection of the national territory against introduction of infectious animal disease from abroad; 6) enforcement of veterinary and sanitary regulations (art. 5). The main functions of veterinary service are: 1) carrying out veterinary, sanitary and preventive arrangements for the prophylaxis of infectious and non-infectious animal disease; 2) carrying out jointly with the bodies of public health arrangements for the protection and liquidation of disease common to human beings and animals; 3) inspection of animal feedstuffs, animal food additives and water used in livestock breeding; 4) veterinary and sanitary expertise of animal products (art. 6).
