Law “On protection of the objects of cultural heritage”.

This Law regulates relations in the sphere of identification, conservation, management, promotion and state protection of the objects of the national historical and cultural heritage. Objects of historical and cultural heritage shall be considered landscape architecture, and park and garden landscape (gardens, parks, squares, boulevards). Territory of the objects of cultural heritage recorded in the state register shall be considered protected areas. Objects of historical and cultural heritage shall be classified as follows: (a) of international significance; (b) of national significance; and (c) of local significance. Objects of historical and cultural heritage located on the national territory shall be exclusive shall be exclusive property of Turkmenistan.
