Abstract
This Act makes provision for the exportation of agricultural commodities, i.e. all species of fruit, vegetables, root crops, spices and other plant materials. The Minister of Agriculture and Forestry shall be responsible for administering this Act. The Minister may require by Notice a class of agricultural commodities to be inspected before exportation by the Director of Agriculture and Forestry, by any person designated as an Inspector under this Act or any person designated as an Inspector under the Plant Quarantine Act (Cap 127) (sect. 5). Every exporter and packer of agricultural commodities shall comply with all lawful directions of an Inspector relating to the packing of any agricultural commodities for export. Duties of certification of quality of agricultural commodities of Inspectors are defined in section 10. Offences and penalties are prescribed. (15 sections)
