Abstract
The Minister of Health may with the consent of Cabinet from time to time declare that certain areas or places shall be dumping grounds for refuse. Dumping grounds shall, as far as possible, be declared in respect of every village or town in the Kingdom, and the boundaries and location of any such dumping ground shall be clearly indicated in a Notice to be published by the Minister of Health in the Gazette. Refuse shall be duped in dumping grounds for refuse, but an owner of land may dump refuse on his or her land if the Medical Officer or Sanitary Inspector holds that such dumping is not injurious to public health. A Medical Officer or Sanitary Inspector may order such refuse to be removed. Where no dumping ground exists the refuse shall dumped by the owner or occupier on the premises and burnt or buried on order of the Medical Officer or Sanitary Inspector. Offences and penalties are prescribed.
