Abstract
This Agreement sets out a framework for cooperation in the field of environmental protection between Turkey and the Sultanate of Oman. The parties agree to cooperate in issues such as: disposal methods of ballast water and the prevention of marine pollution, the treatment of industrial and domestic wastewater, air, soil and water pollution prevention technologies and disposal methods of solid, hazardous and medical wastes. It is also stated in the agreement that, the contracting parties will agree to exchange information, experience on Environmental Impact Assessment and experts. The contracting parties will also agree to develop joint programs in accordance with the implementation of the international conventions on environment and nature conservation and to set up joint training programs. The disputes may be solved by conciliation. The agreement is valid for five years and is automatically renewable with termination rights requiring three months written notice.
