Abstract
By the Decree No. 2017/10742 of the Council of Ministers of 15 August 2017, the Agreement on Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the State of Kuwait in the field of livestock and animal health has been approved. The Parties agree upon cooperation in protecting their region against the entry of the epidemic and genetic animal diseases, during the import, export, and transit of live animal and animal products. The Parties shall develop cooperation by carrying out joint programs to determine the veterinary requirements, as well as to determine the animal health requirements for breeding and slaughtering, by certification to be used in export and import of live animals and animal products, and by exchange of information with respect to any epidemic or infectious animal diseases. The Parties may organize reciprocal scientific visits. This Agreement may be amended by mutual written consent. A working group shall be established. The dispute may be solved through consultation and negotiation. This Agreement valid for five years and may be extended for successive periods of five years with termination rights requiring six months written notice.
