Abstract
Regulation on compensation of animal diseases determines the compensation rates for animal diseases which should be reported by the animal breeders. Animals with suspected disease shall be sampled by the authorized veterinary in case they are registered to the system. For the purpose of eradication and control of animal diseases, this Circular sets forth provisions on the slaughtering, removal and holding into custody of sick animals. In accordance with the provisions of the Regulation on hygienic requirements of small-scale slaughterhouses, slaughtering of domestic ungulates shall be inspected and examined by the authorized veterinary. Moreover, this Circular lays down rules for the implementation of compensation in case animals die due to vaccination, as well as, compensation for animal products, animal feed and byproducts. This Circular underlines that compensation shall not be paid for animals in cases of (I) failure to register the animal and report the disease, and (II) failure to apply vaccination, spraying or testing even though mandatory disease outbreak is announced by the Ministry.
