Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of Kyrgyz Republic in the field of Meteorology.

This Agreement sets out a framework for cooperation in the field of meteorology between Turkey and Kyrgyzstan. The parties agree to cooperate in issues such as: short-term and medium-term weather forecasts, processing information on climate and environmental changes, application of modern techniques, developing Hydrometeorological Early Warning Systems and Disaster Risk Reduction and calibration of meteorological measurement devices. It is also stated in the Agreement that, the contracting parties will agree to exchange scientific and technical information and documents, researchers, experts and consultants. The contracting parties will also agree to set up training programs, meetings and seminars. A Joint Committee shall be established by the contracting parties. This Agreement may be amended by mutual written consent. The disputes may be solved by conciliation. The agreement is valid for five years and is automatically renewable with termination rights requiring six months written notice.
